Out of the transition area, right onto Van Buren, to the stop sign at Mass. Avenue. You'll be directed to turn right onto the first loop.
Bike Course: Two loops as follows:
Map of Bike Course
You will head east to the light at Congress, where you will make another right hand turn.
Headed south on Congress, you will make a gradual climb until just before the light at Main Street
Now the fun part. It's a nice downhill on smooth pavement. Look for this to be the fastest part of the course.
You will make a right turn onto Louisiana Avenue at the stop sign.
This is the approach to the right turn onto Grand Blvd. Grand is four lanes wide at this intersection, but reduces down to two lanes just after you start heading north on Grand.
Headed north on Grand into Downtown New Port Richey. Lots of great restaurants within a block of where this picture was taken.
We would be remiss if we didn't mention that you are riding right past the office of Greater New Port Richey Main Street (on your left)
There will be a New Port Richey PD officer directing you through the busy intersection at Main Street.
As you approach Orange Lake, look for GulfCoast Networking on the left. You will be taking a left hand turn at the stop in front of the Veterans Memorial.
Continuing North on Grand past Orange Lake and Sims Park.
There are two very mild speed humps on this stretch of Grand Blvd. Watch out for them and keep control as you go over them.
You will be making a right hand turn back on the Mass. Avenue at the stop sign.
The patches have patches just before you get back to Van Buren. You will go straight after your first loop and turn right after you have completed your second loop of the course.
